Lifeguard Training

Do you have what it takes to help others and possibly save a life?

The Uintah Community Center offers training for lifeguard certification, first aid, and CPR.  Candidates must be at least 15 years of age, able to swim 500 continuous yards  and submerge to a depth of 13 feet to retrieve a 10 lb. object.  A minimum of six participants is needed for the class to be held.

Cost: $200, paid after prerequisite has been met.

Prerequisite:

• Must be 15 years of age
• Able to swim 500 continuous yards
• Tread water without using your arms for 2 minutes
• Submerge to a depth of 13 feet and be able to retrieve a 10lb. object and swim back within 1 min and 40 sec.

Water Safety Instructor

Prerequisites:
25 yards in good form:

Front Crawl
Back Crawl
Breast Stroke
Butterfly
Elementary Backstroke
Side Stroke
Tread Water 1 minute
Float 1 minute
At least 16 years old

Next class:  Prescreening

Cost: $200, paid after prerequisite has been met.
